When coming up with ways in which to brand myself, I looked to older projects for inspiration, reintroducing the character from my Branding Energy project. 
Seeing motion in the character combined with my improved animation skills since, gave the perfect chance to animate him for the website, whilst still capturing this motion in physical elements.
One of the ways in which motion was achieved physically, considered how the portfolio could be interacted with. Pulling out the character from the envelope created the action of peeking out into an inviting wave before revealing the business card.
When considering how to switch between the logo and character, as each had the potential to be as recognisable as each other, sparked the idea to include a porthole as part of the branding, allowing him to pop up around the website when needed.
